In the export trade of cleaning equipment, a hands-on test drive often speaks louder than any product description. Recently, a client from Nigeria visited the YISHENG manufacturing base at the Dingyuan Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park in Anhui to conduct comprehensive on-site tests of the S1350 ride-on sweeper. After verifying features ranging from the water-spray dust suppression system to the anti-roll-back function on slopes, the client gave the machine high praise. During subsequent business negotiations, the client requested several customizations; the YISHENG R&D team completed everything from design confirmation to prototype production in just 10 working days. Following the client's approval, an initial order for 70 units was finalized and scheduled for production.

1. Hands-on Test Drive of the S1350: High Praise for Dust Suppression, Large-Capacity Hopper, and Anti-Roll-Back Functionality

Upon arriving at the factory, the Nigerian client headed straight to the product testing area to systematically operate and evaluate the S1350 ride-on sweeper.

The water-spray dust suppression function was a primary focus for the client. Parts of Nigeria experience dry climates and significant ground dust issues, where traditional dry sweeping often causes secondary dust pollution. The S1350 features a dust suppression system that sprays a fine mist during operation, effectively preventing dust from spreading. The client personally operated the machine to perform wet sweeping in the test area and expressed satisfaction with the dust suppression results.

The large 120L waste hopper also impressed the client. After conducting on-site loading tests, the client confirmed that the high-capacity design significantly reduced the frequency of emptying the hopper during cleaning tasks. This makes the machine particularly suitable for large-scale, continuous cleaning environments—such as large parking lots and industrial parks—effectively boosting efficiency during a single work shift.

The client also conducted comparative on-site tests regarding the S1350’s cleaning efficiency and effectiveness. Across various floor surfaces and debris types, the machine’s side and main brushes worked in stable coordination, with cleaning coverage and debris collection rates meeting the client's expected standards.

The anti-roll-back function on slopes is particularly noteworthy. The customer specifically selected a sloped surface for testing; the S1350’s braking system responded reliably during ramp parking, with no rolling or slippage. This safety feature is of significant practical importance for commercial facilities situated in Nigeria's hilly terrain.

Following nearly two hours of comprehensive testing, the customer highly praised the S1350’s overall performance.

2. Business Negotiations: Rapidly Identifying Customization Needs

After the test drive, both parties moved to a meeting room for business discussions. Based on local market demands and end-user habits, the Nigerian customer proposed a series of customization requirements:

2.1 Addition of a crash bumper—to accommodate frequent operations in narrow aisles within local commercial environments and reduce the risk of collision damage;

2.2 Addition of a sun canopy—to withstand the intense local sunlight and improve operator comfort during outdoor work;

2.3 Control panel warning light switch—changing from a rocker switch to a push-button switch to better align with local operational habits and intuitive usage;

2.4 Addition of a lanyard to the key fob—featuring the customer's own brand logo to facilitate brand recognition and loss prevention.

The YISHENG R&D team conducted an on-site feasibility assessment for each requirement. Discussions confirmed that the technical complexity of these customizations was low; the existing S1350 platform offered excellent compatibility for modifications, and all requests could be implemented within a short timeframe.

3. Customization Completed in 10 Working Days: From Design Confirmation to Prototype Delivery

Following the negotiations, the YISHENG R&D team immediately initiated the customization and development process. The entire workflow—ranging from product design confirmation and the generation of structural modification drawings to prototype assembly and electronic control system debugging—was completed efficiently within 10 working days.

The R&D team performed structural strength verification and wind resistance testing for the sun canopy to ensure vehicle stability remained unaffected; the crash bumper underwent Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for design optimization, balancing protective performance with aesthetic harmony; the switch replacement involved circuit board adjustments and software adaptation, which the team executed and validated in record time; and the custom logo for the key fob lanyard was coordinated with the supply chain to ensure the initial prototypes fully showcased the brand identity. Upon completion of the prototype, YISHENG demonstrated the actual performance of the customized features to the client via high-definition video and detailed test reports, while also inviting a third-party representative appointed by the client to the factory for on-site verification. Verification confirmed that all customized elements met technical specifications, and the client was highly satisfied with the prototype's performance.

4. Mass production of the initial 70-unit order: Demonstrating YISHENG’s flexibility and efficiency

Following prototype approval, the Nigerian client immediately placed a formal order for an initial batch of 70 customized S1350 ride-on sweepers. YISHENG’s production department promptly initiated the manufacturing schedule, leveraging the collaborative capabilities of its sheet metal, rotational molding, and assembly workshops—alongside standardized assembly line management—to ensure on-time delivery.

The entire process—from the client's initial factory visit and test drive to the confirmation of customization requirements, prototype delivery, and the finalization of the bulk order—took only a few weeks. This rapid response highlights YISHENG’s flexibility and execution capabilities in the OEM customization sector.

5. High client acclaim: Flexibility, efficiency, strict quality control, and a professional team

Throughout the collaboration with the Nigerian client, YISHENG earned praise across multiple dimensions:

5.1 Flexibility: No rigid barriers were imposed regarding customization requests; the company offered rapid assessment and swift implementation.

5.2 Efficiency: The entire process from design to prototype completion took just 10 working days, far exceeding the client's expectations.

5.3 Strict Quality Control: Each aspect was verified during the prototype testing phase to ensure every modification met technical standards.

5.4 Enthusiastic and Proactive Team: Departments collaborated seamlessly—from reception, test drives, and negotiations to R&D coordination—providing the client with a service experience that was both professional and personable. Upon confirming the order, the Nigerian client remarked: "Visiting YISHENG allowed me to witness both the product's genuine performance and the team's pragmatic, results-oriented spirit. From the initial test drive of a sample unit to the final order for 70 customized machines, the entire process has been smoother than any experience I’ve had with suppliers in other countries. We are confident in our ability to successfully scale this product within the Nigerian market."

6. Looking Ahead: Deepening Partnerships in the African Market

The rapid finalization of this 70-unit order from the Nigerian client marks another milestone in YISHENG’s ongoing efforts to cultivate the African market. Thanks to its superior cleaning efficiency, high-capacity design, and excellent cost-performance ratio, the S1350 ride-on sweeper is increasingly becoming a preferred choice for commercial cleaning across Africa. Moving forward, YISHENG remains committed to leveraging its flexible and efficient OEM customization services to help more African partners build product competitiveness and brand strength in their local markets.
